1. Excessive profanity will not be tolerated in these threads. Acronyms and permutations are included in this rule. While we don't want to inhibit anyone's passion for their point of view, neither do we have an interest in moderating Jr. High cussing contests. So, please keep it reigned in.

2. Racial slurs and sexist remarks will very likely result in removal of your access to these forums.

3. Degrading remarks, insults and name calling, directed at other users of these forums is frowned upon and may result in the removal of your forum privileges. Respect other guests in these forums, even when you cannot agree with their opinions. Respect THEM. Argue the point, not the person.

4. Try to stay on topic. If the topic strays, start a new thread.

5. Please resist the urge to bash anyone's personal political belief system. Discuss it, yes, but do not bash it. (I understand this relates to #3, but I thought it was a unique concept and needed to be said.)

6. In the midst of our discussions here, understand that there may come a time when you have to swallow your pride/knowledge, humble yourself, and agree to disagree. If you disagree, please disagree "agreeably!"

7. Before beginning a new thread, see if one exists on that topic. If so, "bump" it rather than starting a new one. This isn't a huge deal. We just appreciate it.

...and finally...

8. Don't wear your feelings on your shirtsleeves. Even when political discussions are respectful, they can become fairly animated, and strong convictions show themselves on both sides of a debate. If you do not have a strong constitution, it may be best to not come in here.
