For a couple of weeks now, Jared Paben, at the Herald has been reporting on this "peanut roundabout" that is being proposed on Meridian, at the back to back intersections of Birchwood and Squalicum. I've not said much about it because it yet, but it seems to be gaining momentum now.

Personally, I've never found the traffic at those intersections to be unbearably bad, but perhaps I've not been there at the right times. I believe there are certainly worse intersections, not the least of which is just a few blocks north of the proposed location, at the intersection of Meridian and Telegraph. That intersection is a nightmare.
